Speaking of workshops, we’d like to call your attention to this year’s veritable feast of Yiddish language-related offerings. In addition to our immersion program in contemporary Yiddish, you can take workshops in Western Yiddish, Yiddish for Musicians, Introduction to Yiddish Song, Intermediate & Advanced Yiddish Song, Yiddish Song Writing, and Yiddish choir, surrounded by Yiddish music, dance, jam sessions, and everything else that makes Yiddish Summer Weimar unique in Europe.
Are you a conservatory student or early-career professional musician between the ages of 18 and 30? We’ve got two international music projects just for you: YAM Ensemble and Caravan Orchestra & Choir, as well as a specially designed, advanced Introduction to Klezmer & Yiddish Music. To celebrate our 25th anniversary, we’re pulling out all the stops in the Festival Week, August 12th-17th, with many new mini-workshops, a film series, world-class concerts in the evenings, and our Late Night Cabaret for the true night owls. We’ll be posting the full schedule soon on our website.
