 g women. Commissioned by Yiddish Summer Weimar\, t
 his ambitious project sets these remarkable texts 
 to newly created\, 21st century Yiddish music that
  embraces a rich spectrum of sounds\, textures\, a
 nd styles—from lyrical song to techno\, from klezm
 er-inspired traditions to contemporary pop.<br />\

 vity and artistry of a new generation of performer

  45–50 young musicians from Israel and Germany hav
 e come together at Yiddish Summer Weimar for three
  weeks to create an exhilarating concert program f
 ar removed from political agendas and polarization
 \, and to present it to an ever-enthusiastic audie
 nce.</span></p>\n \n <p><span>The participants fro
 m Israel include both Arab and Jewish musicians\, 
 while the German group is a colorful mix of young 
 music students from many different conservatories 
 and music universities. What they all share is a p
 assion for exciting music and a desire to make mus
 ic together and learn from one another: music\, la
 nguages\, songs\, dance\, rhythms\, scales\, <em>s
 hteyger</em>\, <em>maqamat</em>\, and more!</span>

 ing musicians from around the world: <strong>Polin
