 nged beings\, but structured expressions of divine
  energy that create a connection between the Infin
 ite and the world. As human beings\, we are invite
 d to find new paths in our actions—but to do so as
  if there were no angels\, so that we ourselves ar
 e called upon to act.</span></p>\n \n <p><span cla
 ss="caption" dir="ltr">This concert asks the quest
 ion: If I were an angel\, what would I do with thi
 s world right now?</span></p>\n \n <p><span class=

 g>presents a program of Yiddish songs that seeks a
 nswers to this question\, accompanied by <strong>M
 arjolijn van Roon</strong> on kaval and recorders\
 , and <strong>Ilya Shneyveys</strong> on piano\, a

 r</em> invites their audience to a devoted and hea
 rtfelt concert of Yiddish poetry set to their orig
 inal music. Featuring women writers from a hundred
  years ago\, a time of flourishing Yiddish culture
 \, <em>Shtoltse lider</em> highlights norm-breakin
 g and almost forgotten poets with their captivatin
 g music\, passionate approach and engaging storyte
 lling. Words and music are carefully woven togethe
 r and move freely between klezmer\, nordic folk so
 ng\, tango\, cinematic chamber music and the bitte
 rsweet spirit of 1920s cabaret.</span></p>\n \n <p

 er</strong>’s vivid piano playing and ethereal voi
 ce intermingled with <strong>Livet Nord</strong>’s
