\n \nThere\, amid a community of tens of thousands of displaced people\, Rose Shos hana survived as an actress and trader. Yet she di d more than survive. She observed\, reflected\, an d recorded her experiences in a diary—a togbukh in Yiddish—parts of which were later published.
\n \nIn the t itle role\, the brilliant soprano Leila Sc hütz\, prize-winner of the Cavalli Monteverdi Competition\, is joined by an ex ceptional ensemble of leading artists from the int ernational Yiddish music scene.
